We have several ways that you can volunteer to help Friends Camp.

Camp Committee Members – Fifteen people volunteer to be on the Camp Committee for a three-year term. Members attend four or five meetings per year to set policies, develop budgets, and commit to long- and short-term goals for the camp. The Camp Committee members are nominated by the New England Yearly Meeting of Friends - Nominating Committee.

Sub-Committee Members – The Camp Committee has several sub-committees that welcome additional members who have expertise and knowledge that will help the sub-committee with its numerous plans and tasks. These sub-committees are: Program, Building & Grounds, Finance, and Personnel. If you wish to join one of these sub-committees, please call Mary Knowlton at 207-866-4564.

Special Project Volunteers – We are open to volunteers wishing to work on a special project. Volunteers have edited newsletters, fixed benches, built a composting storage system, and cleaned ceilings.  If you wish to work on a project, just call or e-mail Nat Shed at 207-873-3499 (director@friendscamp.org).

Work Weekend - Each spring during third weekend in May we have a volunteer work weekend so that all of us who believe in Friends Camp will have the rewarding opportunity to help with some of the repairing, cleaning, and painting that needs to be done before the first session of campers show up in late June. 

 You are welcome to come on Friday night for a wonderful dinner from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM or you can show up on Saturday. We will have a campfire on Saturday night. The weekend will end with a lunch on Sunday. Our annual open house will be on Sunday, May 16^th from Noon to 4:00 PM.
